Explore the movement and breath of yoga in this fun creative class. Your shared yoga experience will be enhanced through play, songs, movement & music. With society sending so many messages of inadequacy, yoga teaches kids to accept and cherish themselves as they are. Learned young, this incredibly valuable lesson arms kids with the tools to fight off the increasing feelings of self-doubt that come during the years beyond. The breathing exercises and relaxation techniques learned from practicing yoga can help children with stress management. Young kids deal with frustration most typically by crying and throwing tantrums. When they learn proper, healthy breathing techniques and tools to focus the mind, they begin to learn how to apply those tools in their everyday lives and to react appropriately to any situation.
Amber has been working with children for over 12 years. She works as an early childhood educator, has her 200 hour yoga teacher training, and 95 hour child yoga teacher training and is certified to work with ages 0 and up. She has a passion for working with families and children and is the proud mom of 4 amazing boys. She is the creator and owner of Serenity and Sonshine, a yogademic academy.
